Laser - Permanent Hair Reduction
How is permanent hair reduction done?
The laser produces a beam of highly concentrated
light and is absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles.
The laser pulses for a fraction of a second long enough to vaporize
the pigment to eliminate hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously.
Is it safe?
Yes. The machine that we use is the new LightSheer
Diode Laser, which is the first diode laser to be approved by FDA,
without damaging the epidermis, regardless of skin type. It is a
long-term stable reduction in the number of hair re-growing after a
treatment regime.
Is it effective?
Clinical study conducted at leading research
centres has confirmed that of 92 patients who received this
treatment, all experienced temporary hair loss and 89% had long-term
hair loss.
Is anesthesia needed during the procedure?
Unlike other laser devices, no local anesthesia or
pain medication is required. The unique design of the
contact-cooling hand-piece cools and protects the surrounding skin
while bringing the laser energy as close as possible to the hair
roots.
What are the common areas that are being treated?
It is usually the face, abdomen, breast, arms and
legs.
What is the appearance of the treatment area immediately after
laser?
The appearance of the treated area immediately
after a laser session will vary from patient to patient depending on
the extent of treatment and skin type.
What are the immediate after-effects?
It may have redness and swelling, which will
disappear in a short time. Most people return to normal activity
right away.
What is the duration of one session treatment?
The length of a laser session may be a few minutes
to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area being treated.

Laser - Skin Pigmentation

Pigmented lesions treatment involves the use of
laser treatment. The machine used is the Versapulse Aesthetic Laser,
a state-of-the-art system specially designed to treat pigmented
lesions (eg birthmarks, freckles, age spots), removal of tattoo,
vascular lesions (eg spider veins, port-wine stains).
Is anesthesia used during the procedure?
The treatment involves no incision. Most patients
do not require anesthesia during the procedure. Topical or local
anesthesia is provided if it is required.
Is hospitalization required?
The treatment is done in the clinic. No
hospitalization is required.
What are the immediate after-effects?
