Diagnosis
Getting the best medical treatment starts with getting the right
diagnosis. This is not as easy as it sounds and even for very
experienced diagnosticians, there is a lot of guess-work involved in
arriving at the correct diagnosis. And without the correct
diagnosis, a patient can suffer unnecessarily - not just in terms of
pain, but in time lost and the cost of unnecessary treatment - until
the right diagnosis is reached.
At AsiaMedic, we believe that it would be extremely short-sighted to
ignore the exciting new advances being made today in the biomedical
field. We have targeted the area of medical diagnosis as the field
where the latest medical technology can give us the edge in
pinpointing the cause of illness.
We have invested in the advanced positron emission tomography (PET)
machine. This machine can pinpoint with accuracy, any cancer in a
patient's body. It can also detect cardiac and neurological
conditions. Knowing exactly what is going wrong inside the patient's
body and where, disease management
becomes targeted, effective and speedy.

We have further acquired 1.5T Signa Infinity
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) which is a diagnostic tool with its
fast and sharp imaging capability. When MRI is used together
with our other imaging modalities like CT or PET/ CT, a more
definitive diagnosis can be given in the work up of a patient's
disease. In addition to cancer imaging, MRI is widely used in
imaging and diagnosing sports injuries. Fast and accurate imaging
with our new MRI makes the diagnosis more accurate and the test more
comfortable for the patient.
Our Facilities
At AsiaMedic, our patients will not only have the
confidence that they are being diagnosed and treated by
highly-skilled specialists using the most advanced machines, but
also that, their experience here would be as pleasant and fuss-free
as possible. Positioned as a premier one-stop outpatient advanced
diagnostic and screening centre, the PET, MRI and CT scans as well
as other imaging tests can all be done within one centre. Patients
preparing for their PET scans will have the comfort of individual
resting rooms. Our health screening patients enjoy a comprehensive
range of tests from electrocardiogram, treadmill to ultrasounds all
within one visit and have their breakfast at our in-house cafe
corner.
